Common Questions

What is the registration process for IDFPA / USAPL affiliates with a national championship (US, Korea, Hong Kong, Australia)?

The first invites (beginning July 15) will be sent via email to the top 3 athletes per weight class in the Open and Masters divisions of the most recent national championship. The alternate pool (invites begin July 30 and continue to September 2) will be made up of the next highest totals (or DOTS for Masters) per weight class from the respective national championship.

What is the registration process for IDFPA / USAPL affiliates WITHOUT a national championship (Netherlands, Vietnam, Guam, Israel, Mexico, etc.)?

The first invites (beginning July 15) will be sent via email to athletes with the top 3 Open and Masters divisions totals per weight class from January 1, 2024 to September 1, 2025. The alternate pool (invites begin July 30 and continue to September 2) will be made up of the next highest totals (or DOTS for Masters) per weight class.

What is the registration process for nations WITHOUT IDFPA / USAPL affiliates (Italy, Taiwan, Peru, Japan, etc.)?

The first round of applications (from July 15 to July 29) will be open to all with a total from ANY DRUG TESTED federation from January 1, 2024 to September 1, 2025. Top 3 totals per weight class accepted. Alternate pool (applications continue from July 30 until September 2) to be made up of the next highest totals (or DOTS for Masters) per weight class. Applicants must provide evidence (such as an online record or database) of a total within a drug tested federation. Please follow the link below to apply.

Does this championship include both the Raw and Equipped categories?

Yes. The same qualifying standards and registration requirements apply for both categories. For USAPL equipped athletes in the US, invites will be sent out shortly after Equipped Nationals.
